We are extremely excited to welcome Vicky Bell back to our team at Tribe Global HQ in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a Communications Consultant, Vicky will be supporting us on a temporary basis with our internal and external communications, helping us to reach our goal of becoming the No.1 Independent Agency Network on social media. 

We caught up with Vicky in a short Q&A.

Fun Fact: She actually was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar when she met a member of The Human League.

Hi Vicky, welcome back!! What have you been up to over the past few years? 

Since last working with Tribe, I have spent time with a Digital Marketing agency in Dubai and currently freelance for a British NGO working in the Middle East and Afghanistan. Like most, Covid-19 has sadly interfered with travel plans, but it has been great to fully appreciate all that is on my doorstep here in Scotland. Aside from when my partner and I decided to drive 24hrs to the South of France...

What are your interests outside of work?

I love good coffee, hill-walking, painting, and Asian food. My bookshelf is predominantly non-fiction reads by Middle Eastern war correspondents, the history of which fascinates me greatly. But let’s not forget some low-brow TV (ie. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and New York) because a good life is about balance, right? 

Where is your favourite place in the world, and why?

Very hard question! I am definitely most drawn to Central Asia, the Gulf and the Middle East. But my favourite experiences are generally those with family, and I have a very happy memories of trips to the USA’s north-eastern beach towns. Cape Cod, Nantucket, Newport and East Hampton are very special.

In your opinion, what's the best thing about social media?

The ability to make connections and have such a range of experiences virtually. I know from a personal perspective that it vastly improves my consumer experience and decision making. I also love the fast-paced nature of technology, and how it is a continuous learning curve.
