James Rice, Co-Founder and CEO of The Fiction Tribe , has been appointed Vice Chairman at Tribe Global.
Rice is based in Portland, Oregon and takes over the role from David Balfour who became Chair of Tribe Global at the start of the year.
In his new role, Rice will primarily manage collaborations between clients and brands, as well as internal collaborations between Tribe Members and Partners, supporting ongoing work to make Tribe Global the No1 independent agency network.
Speaking of the new appointment, Rice says: “The acceleration happened. Brands have to find rapid expertise to make the smartest decisions with their spend. I’m excited to help build the future with the amazing Tribe Global agencies and partners as we create global advantage and trust for clients.”
Rice has worked in technology marketing for more than two decades. He has directed some of the most notable product launches from HP, Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, Universal Studios, and Intel, among others. He started his career a founder of one of the first digital agencies in the U.S., leading it to be in the top 20 worldwide in eight years. He lives to make things with a team of enthusiastic, egoless storytellers and clients.
Prior to this role, Rice has been an active member of the Tribe Global Board for over two years and his agency has been a Member of Tribe Global since 2016.
