Greetje Demuelenaere, founder of brand strategists comma , has been appointed as a Director of Tribe Global.
Greetje is the classic example of a marketing manager that dived into her own deep world of marketing and came out as a serial entrepreneur. The starting point of that deep dive is her agency “comma”, which is her true family and which she takes very literally. She describes herself as the founding mother and that’s exactly what she means: coaching young people into the world of brands and marketing as if they were her own children, together with her husband Wouter by her side. Both equally passionate about brands and marketing, they teamed up to become one of the most innovative and respected branding strategists in Belgium.
Fascinated by the products and clients that passed through her own agency, she crossed the bridge from strategist to entrepreneur. She has her own Belgian speciality beer company and is involved with Malawi tea. She has recently started another business as a human strategist, called “Peace for talent”. She is involved in her own female cycling club “Fietsvedetjes”. This is a project where women can share typical Flemish core values: friendship and cycling through the beautiful and unique landscapes of Flanders.
Now she brings her entrepreneurial spirit and her innovation expertise to the boardroom of Tribe Global.
Talking about her new role Greetje says “The future lies in co-creation with a growth mindset. This is where Tribe Global can make a difference. With values of passion & commitment, together we can create extraordinary brands around the world.”
Prior to this appointment, Greetje and her agency comma were long-term Members of Tribe Global, joining the network in 2014.
Since Tribe Global launched in 2012, it’s Member agencies and business Partners have been supporting each other around the world. They learn from each other and share skill-sets, capabilities and experiences. Tribe Members and Partners form powerful teams which can support clients around the world.
Tribe Global now has 38 Members and Partners in over 70 cities around the world, and is actively looking for independent agencies to grow and strengthen the network.
Tribe Global Managing Director, Ian Wright, said “I’m delighted that Greetje is joining our Board. She has been a strong supporter of Tribe Global and everything that we stand for, for many years. She will add a new dynamic to the Board as a business owner, strategist and entrepreneur, which I welcome. Our Board continues to get stronger and with the addition of Greetje, probably fitter as well!”
