DEFACTO X honours winners of the Future Store Challenge

Jun 24, 2016

The Double Two student winner won the judges’ approval with a concept for a 24/7 shopping experience and a method of redesigning stores innovatively.

ShoeSize.Me was the victor among the start-ups: Its entry was an already successful running big-data concept that makes buying shoes online even more pleasant and individualised for customers. Empirical values are used to show customers which shoes will fit them and the retailers can reduce the number of returns they receive.

EUR 6,000 worth of prizes are available, and the teams are also given the opportunity to get a foot in the retail industry door with their projects.

Claus Schuster, one of the hosts at the award ceremony and a managing partner at defacto x GmbH, clearly appreciates the value of the competition. He said: “Fresh, impressive ideas like these will take retail forward into a successful future. We are happy to be able to contribute to the success of the Future Store Challenge as a host for the competition. Initiatives like this one are very important to us.”
