Tribe Global chooses Bruges as its new home base
Jul 20, 2026
Bruges, 17 July 2026 – The international association Tribe Global has been based in Bruges since 1 July 2026. The network was founded in Amsterdam and is now moving its headquarters to Belgium, a relocation made possible in part by Group Daenens, which is providing Tribe Global with a home at Park de Rode Poort.
Tribe Global was founded in Amsterdam on 7 May 2012. From the outset, its founding board had a distinctly international composition, with members from the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico. Two of them, Marco van Rookhuijzen and Daniel Eischen, the association’s first chair, remain active within Tribe today. Bruges native Greetje Demuelenaere has also been involved with Tribe Global for many years, first as a member, then as a Board Member and, since 2024, as Managing Director of the international network.
The choice of Bruges as its new home base is deliberate. In the Middle Ages, the city was one of Europe’s most important trading centres and developed into an international hub where people, ideas and trade came together. Bruges retains that international character to this day, making the city a meaningful base for a community that connects independent players around the world.
The relocation came about through the connection between Comma and Group Daenens. Comma, the Belgian brand strategy agency founded by Greetje Demuelenaere, has been part of Group Daenens since April 2025. Within the group, Greetje Demuelenaere is also Marketing Director and a member of the executive committee. In this dual role, she brought the two worlds together, which is why Group Daenens is pleased to provide the network with a home at Park de Rode Poort in Bruges.
“I am delighted that we can make this happen in Belgium, and in my home city no less,” says Greetje Demuelenaere, Board Member and Managing Director of Tribe Global. “With Tribe, we want to raise the profile of international trade even further, and I believe Bruges can play a valuable role in that.”
“When we founded Tribe Global in 2012, the idea was simple: to make independent communications and marketing agencies stronger by connecting them worldwide. Anchoring that mission in Bruges, a city with a centuries-old trading history, feels like a logical next step,” says Marco van Rookhuijzen, co-founder of Tribe Global.
“We are proud to offer Tribe Global a home base at Park de Rode Poort. The international association aligns perfectly with Group Daenens’ ambition to provide a place for initiatives that connect people and reach across borders,” says Nico Daenens, CEO of Group Daenens.
